For many developers Delphi is still alive, I think it’s dead to version 7.0

Delphi was the best RAD to create executables for win32 without dll libraries
and it was perfect to develop management software. In my area there are big companies that sell and maintain huge software created in the late ’90s.

I close this series of tips on the latest news of facebook.
All we know the button “Become a Fan” has turned into a concise “Like”.
Probably it was a brilliant marketing choice for the users that now feel more free to click it.
It certainly has a less powerful to “become a fan” of something and it will allow Facebook to do what it give more profits: KNOW WHAT PEOPLE WANT.
In addition to this very nice change, developers have created a new API that lets you put this button also for external content to facebook.
Well you can now put this like button (that is reminiscent of stumbleupon) in the articles of your blog.
If we adopt this solution can increase visits to own blog and receive feedback important to the quality and type of content you write.
In practice we will have an idea of what topics should be treated and how to treat to get more audiences (crap, a blog like a shitty TV show).

There are thousands of buttons to share the posts of our blogs, for example evilripper.net use the sociable plugin which is very good.
But I believe that most users want to share in 3 major platforms!

The Mashable idea of putting everywhere three large buttons (BUZZ, Twitter and Facebook) is awesome because the resonance of these social platforms is huge!
The fact of having a counter of how many people shared the content is very important because if you see that has been shared many times, the user will read all the article and also he probably shares it.

The practice of connect a site with facebook can increase significantly the accesses.
Personally I don’t like this practice and I don’t like the direction that the web is taking.
There are a lot of tools and web apps that allow any user to do whatever he wants: some examples are Flickr, Picasa, youtube … or for those who want to write a blog there is wordpress or any other prefabricated platform (blogger.com).
So this is a good chance for everyone to create their own magic space but Internet has lost its diversity and is becoming flat and boring.
The current trend is to create a further centralization of all these applications first and foremost Facebook is trying to incorporate everything, this is one of the main reasons why at least for now I don’t want incorporate any widgets in this blog.
